Kirk is a junior from O’Fallon, Illinois majoring in Political Science and African and African American Studies, while minoring in Spanish. Kirk joined Chimes to help create educational spaces and conversations surrounding issues in our society. In addition to his involvement with Chimes, Kirk is the Vice President of the Black Men’s Coalition and he tutors middle schoolers through Strive for College. He also writes for the Washu Political Review occasionally. As a Civic Scholar, Kirk plans to work with post-transition programs in D.C. to help people who have been incarcerated find jobs and successfully transition back into life outside of prison.
